Your Activity for This Week

Secret Superstar-Style Blackout Poetry

This week you will be creating a blackout poem (hooray)! The goal is to make your own thing by choosing words from a piece of writing that already exists. The process CAN look like this (but it doesn't have to):

Choose a piece of writing (something from your notes app, a magazine, a bill, a rejection letter, a page of a book)
Choose words that stick out to you or words that you feel like go together in a way that speaks to you
Blackout the rest of the words on the page (you can blackout the words in a fun artistic way too)
Do whatever the hell else you want to the page

Then, upload a picture of it with any commentary you want. Please include a brief description of the original piece of writing you used.
